FAQ

Short answers about the kits, which agents they work with, licences and refunds.

What is ReelStyles?
A library of 72 film styles for your AI agent. Each style is a kit: its palette, characters, scene templates and motion rules, plus recipes for formats that work on YouTube. Your agent reads the kit and builds the whole film as code on your computer, and HyperFrames renders it there too.
Which AI agents does it work with?
Any agent that can read files and run commands in a terminal: Claude Code (it installs as a plugin), Codex, Cursor, Roo Code, Cline, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and others. Every example film on this site was made end to end with Claude Code. The kits themselves are plain files, markdown plus HTML and JavaScript templates, so any of these agents can follow them.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You tell your agent what you want in plain words and it writes the code. Your computer needs Node.js, Chrome and FFmpeg, and the guide you get after buying walks you through it.
What do I get after I pay?
An email from Polar, right after payment, with an invite to the private ReelStyles repository on GitHub and a zip download. Claude Code installs it as a plugin; other agents open the folder. The setup guide takes about 15 minutes.
How long does a film take?
Rendering takes about 1 to 3 seconds per second of film on a normal 4-core computer, so a 3-minute film renders in roughly 3 to 9 minutes. Before that, your agent plans and builds the scenes, and you check stills as it goes. Our measured runs, start to finish (empty folder to MP4, Claude Code on Sonnet, a shared 6-core server): a 10-second Short took 3.8 minutes (median of 29), a 30-second film 14 minutes (median of 67).
Can it add a voiceover and music?
Yes. Most kits' render notes show your agent how to make a narration with a free voice that runs on your computer, or with ElevenLabs if you have an account, and how to time the shots to it. For music and sound effects, use tracks you have a licence for. The clips on this site are silent so they can play on the page.
Does it work on Windows and Mac?
Yes: Windows, macOS and Linux. After you buy, you tell your agent "set up ReelStyles" and it checks your computer and offers to install what is missing.
Can it make vertical Shorts?
Yes, in 28 styles so far, as a film made for the 9:16 frame from the start. Each style page shows which frame sizes it is tested in.
Can it make realistic footage?
No. ReelStyles is for drawn looks: cartoons, paper, paint, diagrams, motion graphics and toy-like 3D. For real-looking people and places, use a video model.
Is this the same as Claude Motion?
No. Claude Motion is an animation feature in the Claude app, in beta on Team and Enterprise plans; Claude's pricing page lists it as not included in Free, Pro or Max (16 October 2026). It also animates in code with no video model. ReelStyles works in Claude Code and other agents on the plan you already have. We are not affiliated with Anthropic. The longer answer.
Why make video with code instead of an AI video model?
Code gives you the same characters, colours and layout in every scene and every episode. You can change one line and render again, and nobody bills you per clip. It suits drawn, cartoon, diagram and editorial looks. For photoreal footage, use a video model.
How is this different from HyperFrames, Remotion or animate?
Those are free and good, and ReelStyles works alongside them. HyperFrames and Remotion are engines: they turn code into video, and you direct the look. cth9191/animate adds 7 built-in styles. ReelStyles adds finished looks on top: each style's palette, characters, scene templates, motion rules and a checklist your agent grades its own frames against, each tested by a fresh agent. Our kits render with HyperFrames.
Do I need a GPU?
No. HyperFrames renders in a headless browser and FFmpeg on a normal CPU. A faster machine renders faster; a long film can take a while on a laptop. We render our own channels' films on a small CPU-only server.
Which plan do I need for my agent?
The paid plan you already use for your agent. Building a film takes a fair amount of usage, so a bigger plan gives you more films per day. We do not sell or include any AI plan.
Can I try it before I buy?
Every style has its example film in the catalog, made by a fresh Claude Code with only that kit, so you can judge each look before you buy. If it is not for you, the 14-day refund covers you.
Were the examples made with an AI video model?
No. Each example was made by a fresh Claude Code that had only the kit in an empty folder, and rendered with HyperFrames. It is code, not a video model. The ReelStyles mark in the corner is only on our examples; films you make do not carry it.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If ReelStyles is not for you, email us within 14 days of buying and we refund the full price, no questions asked. Your access to the repository ends once the refund goes through.

The legal withdrawal right for digital content is explained in Terms and withdrawal.

Who owns the videos I make?
You do. The films you make with ReelStyles are yours.
Can I use the videos commercially?
Yes. You may publish and monetise the films you render, and use them in ads, launches and for your business.
Can I share or resell the kits?
No. The kits, templates and format recipes are licensed for your own films. Their source may not be shared, resold or published, and the repository access is for you alone. Parts of some kits come from open-source projects; their own licences are in each kit's LICENSES folder. See Terms.
Will YouTube see my videos as reused content?
We sell styles and formats, never copies of a channel. A format is a structure (how a video opens, builds and ends), and you bring your own topic, script and research. Some styles come from our own channels; kits never include those channels' scripts, episodes, names or branding. Where a kit has characters, change them and give them your own names and stories. YouTube judges each channel on its own: make original films with your own voice and work in them, and read YouTube's monetisation policies yourself.
What happens if ReelStyles stops?
The kits are plain files on your computer, so they keep working with no server of ours. One payment gets you every style we add for as long as ReelStyles runs; what you have downloaded stays yours to use for your own films.
Do you see my films or prompts?
No. The kits run entirely on your computer and nothing is sent to us. See the privacy policy.
